Located in a prewar building on the Upper East Side, this three–bedroom, three and one–half bathroom duplex was created by combining two adjacent residences. In addition to establishing unity between the two spaces, the project included a living room, dining room, office, library, and custom kitchen. The transformation showcases handmade, custom handrails, a paneled master bath with inset mirror, and a library with paneled walls and built–in cabinetry. A majority of the home's dated finishes were replaced with timeless elements such as limestone and herringbone floors and white Thassos marble. All original wood crown moldings were replaced with plaster crown moldings, and eight-foot doors replaced the original seven–foot doors. The renovation was completed in one year.
