Starting in the 1980s, Albert Martinez (Founder) has been creating beautiful living spaces for New York’s premier clientele. As founder of Interior Management, Al’s vision was to create a company passionate abut both the functional and aesthetic. From that founding ideology and hard work, Interior Management has grown into a firm that constructs the highest quality residences and [delivers its client’s visions.]
Over the years, Al has completed hundreds of projects including apartments, townhomes, and lobbies with some of the greatest architects and designers in the world. Interior Management’s reputation is due in part to Al’s commitment to the success of the whole team. He instills in the project management staff that the key to success, in this business, is working with a first-class team. Over the decades in the industry, Al has developed unparalleled skills in coordination and problem solving.
By assembling a best-in-class team of managers and specialized trades, Al has significant resources to draw on as obstacles arise. Nevertheless, his own experience and hands-on approach to the business ensures that he will also jump in and immediately start to dissect and remedy any issues. In this manner, Al continues to be very active in the business and continues to help make it prosper.
Syd Wolfe has developed an expertise and deep knowledge of the high-end residential construction process and market. He began working in construction management while pursuing his architecture degree from Columbia University. Following his graduation from Columbia, Syd worked as a Project Manager in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where he successfully completed complex renovations and new construction projects.
As one of Interior Management’s Project Managers, Syd led extensive renovations of duplexes, townhouses, and apartments. Currently, as a Managing Partner, Syd oversees business development and internal operations. He remains involved throughout the entire construction process, supporting the project management staff and liaising with the clients, architects, and designers. Syd is married, with two children and enjoys hikes with his family and dog, playing golf and camping.
Melissa Kartzman began her career with Interior Management as a Project Manager. She has since completed many impressive projects, including several on Park Avenue, the Sherry-Netherland, a penthouse at 740 Park Avenue and a penthouse at 15 Central Park West. In her current role, Melissa oversees every aspect of our construction projects, and prides herself on fostering long-term working relationships with architects, designers, and clients. She specializes in fast-paced projects that require nimble thinking without compromising quality.
Melissa, who is originally from Briarcliff Manor, New York, is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She relaxes by playing tennis and reading and currently lives in Chappaqua, New York, with her husband, two children, and a French bulldog.
William A. Martinez has executed many diverse renovation and new construction projects throughout Manhattan and has developed particular expertise in structural renovations. As a Project Manager, he managed the successful completion of a 10,000-square-foot, single-family townhouse renovation on West 69th Street that required 13 feet of excavation, new foundation work and structural steel framing.
As Managing Partner, Will heads the Estimating Department, bringing a vast knowledge of construction practices and experience in Construction Management. In addition to coordinating every aspect of cost estimations, ensuring budget completeness and accuracy, he also supervises the special projects team and in-house Maintenance/Painting teams.
Will graduated from Muhlenberg College and is originally from Connecticut. When he is not spending his off-time with his wife, daughter, and French bulldog, he is playing golf or cruising on his Harley on the open road.
